Amazon asked me to review this toy for teething. Only the case is rubber. The toy itself is plastic with batteries, so no, I would never recommend a baby chew on this toy. It's great for make believe and pushing buttons. My one year old grandson loved this because he always wants our phones. This was a nice substitute. I said substitute, I didn't say they would stop wanting your phone, lol. This is definitely a favorite toy. At 10 months she sends half her time biting on it and the other half pushing the buttons. The 3 buttons that play music are favorites. And small enough to throw in diaper bag when on the go. Great value for the money!Toddler seemed to have fun with itMy kid absolutely loves this toy. I’m glad it works as a teether as well! The music this has is great, kinda short but that’s fine.Bought it for my son at 6 months and he loves it. Mainly uses it for chewing but it likes it.. play something on it when he’s cries and he stopsBelieve it or not, this is one of my granddaughter's favorite toys! I bought her the first one and it lasted for just under a year. For the price and the way she played with it, I was not disappointed. She was devastated when it didn't work anymore. So I jumped online and ordered a second one. She will play with it for quite a long time since there is so much to do. It's fun to watch her "grow into it." At first she just hit random buttons, but now she knows where everything is - the songs, the fruit, the numbers, the telephone itself. It's quite cute and definitely worth the money!I love how my nine month old grandson loves this phone. He plays with it a lot. Having it be teething friendly is definitely a bonus. The songs are nice too.My granddaughter loves this musical toy. She claps her hands to the little songs and the rubber edges are great for chewing on. Very good value.
