We got this for our Thanksgiving get together with the family in preparing for the Christmas season coming. My mother in law has 6 grandkids age 4-7. They each LOVED putting it together. It does come with one big glue stick. I didn't think about that with there being 6 kids. I just took a butter knife and cut the glue stick and put their slices on a paper plate. Actually made it easier for them to glue together that way rather then using the stick. Will def. keep this as a tradition. This is great Christmas fun that reminds me of when I was a kid in school making the red and green paper chains for decoration. These are beautiful, though with lovely designs that make them more interesting. No, it isn't very educational, of course, or durable - it IS paper, but they are a lot of fun! Enjoy them, and pop some popcorn and have some hot cocoa while you do it!I bought these chains for my grandchildren to decorate a vacation home for the holidays. They all (ages 5-15) had fun putting their designs together & making many feet of chains. We did use staplers instead of the glue stick included in the kit. This speeded up the process so we could hang the chains without delay. Clean up was a breeze & fun when our holiday was over.Everything it said it was. Slick paper in multiple pretty Christmas colors. Made an enormous paper chain. I decorated a four sided tent we were using as a Christmas cookie booth for a church event. I taped each chain loop together to make the process a bit faster. Hated to throw it away. Many of the strips were two sided. Really excellent quality and a great activity for kids. Worth the money.I bought this pack to try to get my two preschool boys to be a bit creative in their Christmas preparation. I was disappointed when I first opened the box as the contents are much smaller than the box would suggest but I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the chains were when made up and of course they were an easy project for two easily distracted boys to complete.I have had visitors comment that, even without children, they would quite like the decorations for themselves.I purchased this because I thought it would be a fun holiday project for my 3 1/2 year old son. It also saved me the time of having to find double sided christmas wrapping, cutting out all the strips, and getting the glue. I was disappointed that the christmas print was only on one side. The other side was just a solid color: red, green, or white. Otherwise, a fun chrristmas craft.Boy do you get a lot of strips....if you need for a class room.. you'd have aplentyso easy - no mess - and LOTS of product. Will get again next year.. Really impressive on tree. You can do anywhere.we made in hotel lobbyAwesome!
