Nice little toy for my toddler to mess with. The plastic is somewhat on the cheap side, the cards seem durable. I’m not blown away but it is a nice option to add to the list of items for my son to choose from. It says the name of the picture and the sound associated with it. It’s rechargeable as well so it’s nice not having to deal with batteries!First of all, my 2 year old granddaughter needs help to manipulate the cards without bending them as she inserts them in the toy. Secondly, the toy came charged but the instructions which indicated the charging status is wrong: if the device is working the indicator light is red,not blue. When it’s charging it stays on green. So far, I haven’t had any problems with it working when we turn it on. Some of the vocabulary terms may not be familiar to all children: for example;wax gourd, hami melon, durian. In the US, a cookie isn’t usually referred to as a biscuit. Most children who see a picture of a tortoise will call it a turtle. Plus, I don’t know of many preschoolers who would know “ red wine”. If you purchase this, I suggest you review all the cards and eliminate the ones that aren’t in your child’s lexicon.Got package in really quick, after opening and putting batteries in it didn’t work. No longer had box to even attempt to return it. Still have it but can only just use flash cards alone. We were really excited about this and our daughter’s speech therapist highly suggested it! So super disappointed. My toddler loves this learning toy. He has been using it to learn how to pronounce words . It is small and convenient which allows us to take it with us when we go out. However, the cards are thin which means that you have to be every careful when handling flash cards. Its really helpful for kids starting to learn new words. The cards could be thicker, teeny hands (2 1/2 yr old) don't truly understand how cards can be fragile. I'm not sure how we got different languages, but tiny tots have very little patience to wait for the variety of languages to be spoken, and I don't know how to get it back to just English. Its great that the variety is on there, but I am not sure how to change the language mode. Really nice idea behind the toy. The sizing is good, though its kind of weird that one has to insert the cards upside down, so to speak. The voices are clear and the volume is good. So far, I've found the accuracy to be perfect. Thanks for the color coded cards for more difficult words. My first and largest complaint is that the flash cards are very flimsy. For some reason I guess I was expecting thicker/ almost cardboard-like cards. These are thin like a standard deck of cards and are easily bent. You may want to supervise your child using them while inserting the cards in case they get jammed and bent. I also thought the machine itself would be larger than it is. It’s only slightly larger than the palm of my hand. It’s still a nice product and my 3 year old enjoys using it.Also some pictures can be confusing. The Shapes are pictures of items that take the shape. Not a solid shape. Like the triangle shows a slice of a sandwich but it’s the same picture used for the word Sandwich. Also for doctor and nurse they use a female for a nurse and a male for a doctor. And they use the word Fireman instead of firefighter.I purchased this for my granddaughter for her 3rd birthday. She loves it and taught er her 18 month old sister how to used it! Thank you!Best Quality and Product kids jst love it
