My toes did not poke through and the waist fit me just perfect. If too tight you can always just nick half way up the top of waistband on sides two in front and two in back. 150 pounds 5'7These are listed as plus size, they ARE NOT plus size. They also are just extremely cheap material and poorly made. One pair ripped as soon as I tried them on and the other pairs band doesn’t sit well and kept rolling up.
