Gave it 4 stars because the kids enjoyed hammering into it to find the surprises. Would have given 5 stars, but in the end they were disappointed that there was no shark tooth like the ad said. It was the only reason they asked for it.Kids loved it, but be prepared for a mess to clean up!I loved the teamwork my niece and nephew had getting all the gems! Super nice gems to! Took them over an hour to go through it!This was a fun birthday present for our 10 year old boy. I only gave it 4 stars because some of the hidden treasure wasn’t as cool as some of the others and the treasure tended to be clustered together.My grandson loved it but he counted the gemstones as he dug them out and he only got 16. he was a little disappointed but the gemstones that were in there were nice. The seller contacted me and made things right.This was a very good kit for me. I'm not a fan of the wooden tools as they can splinter when digging but it's worth it. The stones are a good size and fun to dig out, my only complaint is that the majority of them were in the top half of the block but it was still fun. It is messy as any dig it kit but the dust is easy to vacuum and wipes off easily. I definitely recommend this kit.I loved this so much! It was an extreme blast to uncover all of my precious new gems!This was an amazing dig kit, it resembles the earth alot and then bonus moon does too!! It is bigger than any other average size kit, overall its an amazing kit!!The mold is very big and given the size you would think the gems are evenly distributed inside of it. This was not the case. All the gems were right at the top which was very underwhelming for my son. The picture shows how much was left to dig and there was quite a bit. Either way it’s still fun and the gems are reasonable in size. But I give it 3 stars because the experience in finding the gems did not meet my son’s or my expectations.Not what I expected. All of the stones except for two were very small (dime sized) and they were all placed together right on the top of the dig kit, so my kid was done it in no time flat so the whole “dig” part of the fun was a complete bust. For the price I expected bigger stones and better placement of them in the plaster. The only reason I’m giving this a neutral rating is because my kid still liked it and has fun, but I didn’t like spending so much and getting tiny rocks in return that were all found and dig out in under five minutes.Almost perfect. My 4 kids loved it. But for some reason each kit was missing a stone. When I contacted the company they wanted a picture to show all the rocks and been dug out. Honestly who keeps that especially since I used my hands to crumble everything into dust just to make sure my kids didn’t miss any rocks by accident. So no partial refund and no missing stone was mailed out. But for the price and how much fun my kids had over all it was worth it.I'm unsure about the safety of this toy. Had I known that it was so poorly made, I wouldn't have bought it. Not sure what it's made of and the dust may be unsafe so perhaps have your child wear a mask? I should have studied the description more closely and taken more care.My kids love dig kits. Typically you soak the thing in water so that the dig is less dusty and easier to come apart..the whole thing was painted in gold which makes it look real cool but the water couldn't penetrate the plaster so it was super messy. It was a bit harder than other ones we've done(I'm thinking because of the unique shape). I like how it had 2 sets of brushes and chisels. We had our own hammers from other kits which was needed as the one it comes with is really small. The key piece of treasure was missing its top and we may have been missing a gem but honestly near the end we were just trying to get through it so we could have dinner. It may have gotten missed.Overall, great way for kids to kill time. Probably a good idea to do this one outside.
