While the socks don't come up as high on me as the picture shows (I'm 5'5) they do stay about three inches above my knees, which is very close to the shown sizing. These socks are very soft and are a perfect thickness, and they stay on your legs very well (I've hardly had to pull them up when wearing them, so that's a plus). They're really cute and are a nice touch to any outfit. However, I made the mistake of not looking carefully at the picture and not noticing that the top lace is a little more tan than white, but that was a mistake on my part, since the picture shows the difference.
