Can't read this engrossing children's book without sobbing, but it is worth it. It is more complex than the average children's book, and carries some weighty topics. But what a triumphant tale, and what a lesson about love, perseverance, and hope. It is a classic for a reason. Fewer pictures, longer pages of prose, a colour palate that does not promise sunshine and rainbows.I bought this for a "Baby Book Shower Party," knowing that the baby will not get to this book for years.
