This is very inexpensive, sturdy nesting doll set and you get what you pay for. It come packaged in plastic shrink and the wood is very wet, on spots slightly moldy. Ordered five of them, because of reviews. And they were spot on. One biggest one had 1/8" crack, and about eight of them developed small cracks while drying. I tightened and glued the crack, but I made a mistake to dry them all open so not to crack on bottom. That caused them to warp and then I spent two days sanding them with dremel to get them right. I should of put them just slightly on to each other to prevent them to get permanently stuck together. At arriving one of them (biggest one) was extremely hard to open. And on one of the sets; third and fourth one did not have adequate space and were sticking to each other. After good machine sand and outside hand sand and thorough drying they were perfect. My whole family had a blast coloring them together. In the end it was worth of purchase. Before painting make sure to apply varnish.I ordered this in April, fought with the seller that replied by a bot, reported them, and was given a refund. Imagine my surprise when it actually arrived last week! So I open it and it's friggin moldy, chipped, I needed a pliers to get one to un nest, has holes going straight through some of the pieces. But hey, I don't give up. So I sanded, got my plan ready, and I've just applied 3 coats of gesso. 3. And it still looks like wood, they are so dry. Yet moldy... Yes this product defies science, that's how crappy it is...These are great to do with kids. They do suck up the paint quickly, my daughter has been enjoying themThank youItem as expected.
