Much smaller than it looks in the picture. I think it is about 9 inches x 9 inches. I thought it was going to be a large tote. Embarrassed to give only this as a gift so I will pick up something else to go with it. Would not recommend it.Nice kit, but it did not interest either the 6 or 9 year old girl it was gifted to. Directions aren’t fabulous.I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. I was disappointed with the instructions for the projects. Also the quality of the thread is very poor. It makes it very frustrating for a child to stay interested in learning a craft when the thread continually tangles and it's hard to understand the instructions telling what she is supposed to be doing.My granddaughter has been wanting me to teach her to embroider. This was the perfect gift for her. She started making things right away. Because I do not live near her, she was able to do things by herself, and she is only 6. Great kit for young girls.Purchased this for our six year old granddaughter for Christmas and she loved it. She even sent me a video showing her finished product. Her four year old sister was even able to complete a project.Okay have seen better.All sewing depended on threading the needle with the too-thick thread that was supplied. The needle threading device provided was under sized and broke the first time it was used. Overall, a disappointing experience for parent and child.My 7 year old daughter caught on to embroidery really quick with this kit and was making her own designs to embroider in no time.
