Description
Considered the ultimate symbol of power in the land of Westeros, the Iron Throne is the seat of kings in the Seven Kingdoms. His Grace, Joffrey of House Baratheon and Lannister, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm sits with smug satisfaction as he torments over all of his subjects while being protected by an extremely loyal and skilled Kingsguard.

MeEncantoThis was amazing, and at such an awesome price that I believe it's a must-have for GoT fans. Took me a few hours to finish (I was just a little distracted during the first part and my big hands had an little trouble getting the smaller pieces in.)The instructions are very simple; Not in English but they don't need to be. Just follow the images and it's easy. I'm grateful to those who contributed great reviews for the input and helping with my decision to buy it. After reading those, and for the price - I didn't think twice. after reading the . Thanks again & to McFarlane Toys. I saw more products to come on the package, but if they were on the way, I figured they'd have been out or online by now.I wanted to get into puzzles again and it's definitely a different type. My thumbs hurt from the tiny pieces, especially when trying to put the Mountains sword on his hip - and keep it there... But it was 1000 percent worth it.My overall opinion is if you're a real fan and collector, buy it.. It's such an amazing addition to my already impressive Game of Thrones collection, and it's easily the BEST priced out of ALL of the GoT memorabilia and items thus far.PS. I hate Joffrey and the Mountain, so I put Ghost, the Stark Direwolf I already had in my collection, partly on the throne coming at Joffrey. That wasn't included, nor the remote controlled candles.)En mi caso fue una excelente inversiónOnce it's together this is a beautiful set and a lot of fun since it's perfectly sized for all sorts of small figures. The details are great and I'm really impressed with how McFarlane takes lego-style bricks and designs the models to look so realistic. My favorite part of this model are the stone-face wall pieces. Pretty ingenious how they fit together and the end result is great! The downside is that these are definitely NOT up to lego quality in terms of the plastic or QC. Pieces do not fit together or nest easily. They feel both fragile AND sharp, so expect some sore fingers after everything is put together. The color on the marble parts is very nice, but the texture is thin and sandy? Like there's particulate coming off the pieces as you handle them. Be careful of the candle pieces- they're made of a really brittle rubber that will stress and break when forced even a little. That's a big problem since they don't snap or push into their display clips very easily. The figures have a lot of detail but, again, feel very cheap and are VERY sharp, so you may have to shed a little blood for the Iron Throne!Speaking of which, while everything else is pretty secure once it's in place, the Iron Throne itself doesn't want to remain plugged into its spot. It's made of a hard rubber and it doesn't seem to grip the studs very securely. I'm probably going to just go ahead and glue it in place. When all is said and done, I LOVE having this set as a display piece, it's a wonderful toy in itself. But unlike with lego, assembling it isn't much fun at all and for a building set that's disappointing.I actually bought this set for my son for Christmas and then completely forgot about it! So I found it in my closet yesterday and decided to go ahead and try putting it together. I've always been a big Lego fan, so I figured this would be fun. Well, not so much!Unfortunately, the quality of the pieces isn't on a par with Lego. The pieces don't fit together easily, and they're sharp enough to cause seriously sore fingers after an hour of working on this thing. By the end I did manage to get everything together as it is meant to be, with the exception of the Iron Throne itself (which I couldn't quite get to fit properly). Even so, the end result is very attractive (and the slightly off-kilter Throne doesn't show unless you look closely). The little figurines that are included with this set (Geoffrey, who sits on the Iron Throne, and a King's Guard, who stands alongside him) are also difficult to put together. The parts are so tiny, and some of them have to be stretched out a bit (I used a small pair of scissors) to get them to fit. I was never able to get the King's Guard's sword to fit into the slot at the side of his outfit -- I'll probably use a bit of Super Glue and leave it at that.Bottom line, the end result is really nice, and if you're a GOT collector it will look great on display. But if you're buying this thinking it will work like Lego sets do, think again. This isn't designed to be a fun construction project, but rather an attractive collectible.I'd give it 5 stars for the final product, and 2 stars for the quality of the pieces -- 3 is fair.I bought this set to create a bookshelf insert around my ASoIaF books and it looks really great!I assembled it completely before removing some parts to have it less wide.Pretty happy with the result. This set builds a wonderful throne room and the quality of the bricks and especially the plates is good and they ask to be used in other builds, e.g. the column parts would look really good in a greek or roman temple build. So why did I only give four stars? Because the Iron Throne itself is rather unimpressive and a little small, an unispired assembly of special parts, that has been done better in a different set. Fortunately with a little imagination they can be combined rather nicely. The two figures are static and assemble not that well, but at least the set offers advice and parts to place the Kingsguard wherever you like, so cudos for that.I bought TWO of these, and it was soo much MORE-Realistic than the Mega-Contrux version.(which does Have: Four GREAT Figures though!)The Throne is Very-Realistic ... whereas the Mega-Construx Back-of-Throne is WAY-too-THICK!-- I Plan on cutting the STAR Out of ONE: so that I can Put One/Each of the Mega-Construx Alternate-Emblems in it! ;-)Great quality, love the detail. Can't argue for the price, although my kingsguard has a wonky leg and won't stand up very well even when attached to the floor. Also he keeps dropping his sword, so he's a bit of a useless guard, but as it's only Joffrey he's protecting I don't really mind ;)I now need more characters to complete my scene!PS - be really careful with the individual bricks that make up the wall, one of them snapped when I was trying to remove it as I put it in the wrong place! Mostly user error but they are delicate.Massive fan!!! Of GOTs!! Season 7 massively let down buy how short it was!!! This is a great little item to own!! Sits well on a shelf under my canvas print. Own most of the small figures just two needed!!. If anyone reading this can help?? the web from the booklet/box only sell minimal items!! Rubbish!! If honest!! I'm looking for the other sets that you can buy. Anyone know where from???? Any how for the price I paid, it's a bargain!!!!!!Enjoyed building, but the quality is very poor for how expensive it is. The pieces don't fit together very well, and the way they are cut make it so it is very difficult to push together. Pretty poor value, wouldn't buy again due how frustrating it is to out together.Brilliant set, the quality of the "lego" is excellent, lots of marble textures, stonework and high detail, the figures are small and not playable as toys but still excellent value, my son uses the tgroneroom as a Pokemon battle zone. This is a really nice set once complete. The parts are small but everything in the throne room itself is simple enough to be assembled when closely following the instructions. The only problem I had was putting together the two small characters that come with the set
