When we adopted our pup she came with a similar rope toy. When I saw a similar style, I bought a new one for her. She was thrilled with it when opening the box. We've had some good tug sessions. She got a hold of it in the morning and promptly chewed through/shredded a knot at the end. I had to cut the end off to prevent her shredding it up and swallowing the strings. Wish it was just a little bit sturdier, but she does love itDespite the photoshopped images, the rope is actually quite large. This is my dogs favorite toy. It isn’t chew proof, though I didn’t expect it to be nor do I remember if that was a product claim or not, but I put away after we play with to avoid idle chewing. We play “rope” aka running around tug-o-war until we are both exhausted, very fun. The rope is very strong. My very handsome 2 year old German Shepard, Wolfgang, is a very thorough toy dismantler so I didn't expect this rope to last very long. But...it is still in tact and he loves it! We play with it all the time and it's become his favorite pull game toy. It's held up to the task extremely well. Will definitely buy again when needed!Dog had fun taking it apartLasted about a month with our pittie mix running, chewing and playing with it constantly. Eventually the knots came apart, the strings that make up the rope were fraying and he chewed it in two, but he got a lot of play out of it.This rope definitely holds up tor aggressive chewers. We have a beagle/terrier mix who loves to chew and tear apart his toys. This rope was great for tug and retrieving. It is a sturdy rope toy, but sadly we had to throw it out because our dog kept chewing on and swallowing the threads. This resulted in him vomiting blobs of thread. He also would poop out the threads. So overall a great play toy, but I would not use it as a chew toy for aggressive chewers because of the possibility of blockage etc.I like this for my big dog who is heavy chewer and also eats everything. It works great to play tug-a-war and fetch with. We always supervise him with his toys so haven't given it to him alone to work on.Rope toys can be either a blessing or a curse. When young, I worked at a vet clinic and there were gastrointestinal blockages that came in from dogs eating cheap rope toys or even homemade ones. Blockages usually happened when an owner let their dog chew or gnaw away on a rope toy unsupervised and a more aggressive chewer (anything from a Chihuahua or Jack Russell to a Rottweiler) would chew individual strands or chunks of fiber off of the rope and swallow. Enough of this activity over minutes or an hour and you end up with a big ball of stuff in a dog's belly or GI tract that isn't supposed to be there and needs to come out, often surgically. The reason for the backstory above is that we have a mildly-aggressive chewer (our 60lb Weimaraner/Dobie cross). She loves stuffed animals but those usually only last 15-30 minutes before they have been de-stuffed. (Thankfully she doesn't like the stuffing and uses her paws to dig the stuffing out before happily taking the empty stuffed animal for trips around the house or acreage.) We were looking for something sturdy that she could spend some supervised time chewing on BUT NOT swallowing. This rope toy definitely fit our/her needs for the first 15+ days of about 1 to 1.5 hours a day of chewing. By the 3rd week though, she started being able to pull individual strings/big threads off so we had to throw it out. :(I wish it lasted longer because she really did enjoy it and got super excited when we pulled it out of her treat cupboard. She's back to chewing and playing with her canvas toys and K*ng rubber toys but I wish this wasn't the waste of money it was after such a short time frame.Overall, I would rate the rope toy itself 3 out of 5 stars for **average** or light-chewing medium to large dogs. However, the seller's claim that it is "for Aggressive Chewers" and "Heavy Duty" etc forces me to drop the overall product another star. This is because it failed to stand up to a 60lb female who doesn't have strong jaws--she just likes walking around with something in her mouth and/or chewing. The advertising is misleading so as such, my final rating combining both the seller and product is 2 stars out of 5.2★I hope this review has been helpful. Cheers. We have had this rope for about three weeks now and it is holding up pretty well and is in tact. Our Golden is not massive. She is just under 60lbs but usually makes mince meat out of toys that are not for the aggressive chewer. No puedes tener un perro y no tener este cuerda. Le limpia los dientes y les encanta jugar con ellaPas resistant
