A light flashed a bit but otherwise it was no different than a plain rubber ball. It did not move at all. The floor was a tile floor.I got this thinking the silicone covering would be more cat friendly than the hard plastic of the competition’s ball. That doesn’t matter if it won’t hold the cat’s interest, though. Another problem is this ball is very small and gets easily lost under things. Expected more for this much money!My two cats would play with it until it was batted under a couch or chair which required human retrieval. I put it in an empty bathtub for them which solved the under furniture problem but was inconvenient for watching them play.This is a cute little ball that seems well made. It is a little small so we constantly lose it. The bigger issue though is that, when it vibrates, it does so violently enough that it actually scares our cat and she isn't scared of anything. We have a Rottweiler and it scares her too. Maybe dial back the vibration motor a little here.This is such a fun toy. My cat loves stalking it. My dog loves watching it, too. I was afraid I'd have to constantly charge this but I was wrong. It last a long time and has auto shut-off and sleep mode. It's very durable. My dog will pick it up in his mouth and there's no damage. I love turning it on before leaving the house so my cat can hunt while I'm out. This is so much better than regular balls that don't do anything.I loved that it was rechargeable. It was my 1st purchase of rechargeable and I look for that when I purchase now. Just too fragile at the charging port. It didn't last long enough to know if my cat would like it. It certainly has elements to entertain us.It takes about an hour to go from a dead battery to fully charged. This ball has lights, a little bell and spins around like crazy every few seconds. The battery lasts a long time too. My cats go absolutely nuts over this ball. Only problem I have is finding it after they are done playing. :-)Great fun, I am very happy with this ball. I give it 5 stars!Very interactive cat toy with 3 different modes. Great quality, battery life is pretty awesome! Perfect for when I'm not home to entertain my kitty. Keeps him busy.
