Thick plastic rims and handles look very durable. Bright colors will show up if they are set down outside someplace. The lens is surprisingly good and should engage kids in closer observations of insects and plant parts and all kinds of things they may want to or be encouraged to investigate.Our local Science and Technology museum has these. They are a big hit! When the pandemic hit and the museum closed, I started making little stations for my son and some other kids in our lives. I wanted to include these magnifying glasses. Two of them came perfect, the remainders arrived in usable condition but there was a piece rattling on the inside of the rest of them. Since I had planned to use the extra magnifiers to make kits for kids we know, I was bummed that most of them were rattling... It cheapened an otherwise high quality product. The ones that weren’t rattling have been used heavily and haven’t broken or had any rattling so it makes me think maybe there was a quality control issue where a small piece of plastic was left inside the handle. Overall, they are awesome.These are very durable. I have used before purchasing, and should last for years. Over time the glass will get scratched up (normal wear and tear) but you should still be able to see well out of them. The one thing that has not happened yet with my set but I know will soon happen is the thin piece the stand) will break off at some point) however it will not take away from the use of the product since most people just lay them down on a surface after use anyway, and not either bother with the stand or are not even aware that there is a stand.We love these science products for the 3-5 year olds that we purchased after Christmas 2019 as a New Year's treat. They are sturdy and I don't think our youngest will be able to break them in anyway. We are looking forward to exploring nature and our children are looking forward to examining specimens using their new science products. We would definitely buy from this company again and will spread the word to encourage our friends and family to invest in these products as they are fun and help children to learn about nature in a close-up way.Lovely big magnifying glasses. Very sturdy. Handles perfect for toddlers. A few niggles - the little stands are a bit less strong than the rest of it and one of the glasses has a bit of a bubble in it. However, they are very minor points for all but perfectionists. These are clearly designed well for young children and will more than do the job. For the price, the quality is fantastic. These are absolutely perfect for my child's needs, but would be great in a classroom, a nursery, or for young explorers. They come in 6 bright easily distinguishable colours, so are doing double duty as a tool to teach colours. The size of the magnifying glasses is generous and the grip great for small hands. Delighted with these!!Always a good purchase.. used for outdoor learning with primary school groups and these withstand almost anything and are good magnifiers.Great to have the bright colours; easier to find when they’ve been lost in the undergrowth ??We don’t use the pull out stand so can’t say if that would get broken.Good solid product in attractive colours but my grandchildren (aged 12, 9 and 4) soon lost interest. The magnification level doesn’t really show you anything you can’t already see. I should have spent more money.Durable, vibrant colours, good size. Great for preschoolers and toddlers. Wish they were cheaper per item.
