Great present. My 7 yrs old loved it. She needed new umbrella and was happy too color it the way she wanted!!!Great gift!Kids love it. Color doesn't wash off. Good qualityMy 9 yr old granddaughter received this for her birthday, and she is thrilled with it. She loves to color and the 6 waterproof markers have vibrant color and have enough ink to color the entire umbrella. It is a bit difficult to color it, but is easier with the umbrella open. Be very careful with the markers as they are indeed waterproof and will stain the surfaces they come into contact with.It rained for the first time today and I'm happy to say that the colors didn't run at all. It looks great and no one else in her school has one like it. It is definitely a child sized umbrella but fits my 4th grader very well. It seems a little expensive, but perhaps its uniqueness makes up for that. When my 11-year-old niece visited recently, I don't see her that often so I definitely felt that a minor icebreaker was needed and especially a little project that would allow us both to zone and converse a little bit while having something else to focus on at the same time. This was an absolute hit, and her eyes lit up immediately upon seeing it. She spent a nice few hours working on it and I had fun pitching in here and there on some of the details, and she got to take home a nice memento of our time together. It allowed the grown-up members of the family to have a little time to converse without feeling that she was left out or unhappy in any way, and also gave us a little easy thing to connect about. I would definitely recommend this for any girls old enough to enjoy this kind of craft. This was a surprise for me. Haven't ever seen anything like this before, and I think it's a fun idea. My 10 year old has enjoyed coloring them in, but she's also old enough to be aware of 'fashion' type things, to some extent. She thinks this is ever so cool. The markers are shorter, like kid-sized, which is fine. The colors are actually quite good. I expect fading over time, but that's only to be expected. What's more pertinent, I think, is that they haven't run when she used it in the rain. The only problem was that, when she used it the first time, she wanted to hold it in front of her so she could see the rain and make sure the ink didn't run. I finally managed to convince her that umbrellas don't work so well unless they're actually over your head. ;)I'm good about updating if any issues pop up, but so far this was well worth it for us. Very enjoyable and useful, too. This is a surprising high quality art project for a young person with a potential to have utility as well. It hasn't rained yet where we are and I don't have super high hopes for the protection abilities of this umbrella, but at this price point, anything on top of the coloring aspect of this product is a bonus. I guess you could you use for sunshine as well. The umbrella was surprisingly fun to color. It turned that it's actually easier to color with it open and what I assumed would be extremely cheap markers held up well for the entire project. It's still a bit challenging to color on but that's part of the fun in the sense that its very unique.Overall this was a fun item and would be great for a 5-6 year old birthday gift. This is so cute my young daughter loves this. It's not the easiest surface to color on but the umbrella is little enough it's easy to get around. The markers are smaller for younger hands. My daughter had no patients with the little decorations but loved coloring in the ice cream cone and the bigger stuff. She really just loves playing with the umbrella. As a great grandfather, I thought this would make an excellent gift. My four year old great granddaughter agrees. She likes having her own umbrella, and having one she can color is a decided positive extra. Her mother, noting that the colors are waterproof, has made the coloring an outside, supervised project and has taken control of all colors. As there is a one year old younger brother at home all agree this is an excellent idea. Usually all colors go on the umbrella and those there have stayed there even when attacked by shower water. A few, though, have made it to hands. These her mother has been able to scrub off. So far clothes have yet to be tested. As expected, at four, great granddaughter has trouble coloring within the lines. This is no problem for her, and with age her talents will improve.I have asked my granddaughter to keep track of the pen's lives. " Will there be enough ink to finish the project?" I wondered, and, for that matter, "Will the project be finished??" More reports will follow.Anyway, this is a great gift. It was well made and well received.-- If it has a long road life -- well that's just gravy!Divertido y util
