When I got a certain toy based on a cartoon back in 1984, I was disappointed by how static it was. Since then, official versions of that toy have shown up that could be posed, but then couldn't actually reconfigure to a vehicle. THIS toy is can do both, and do both well. This is what I wished I could have had back in 1984. The only thing the tractor-truck is missing is a proper trailer accessory. The two robots stand about the same height side-by-side, which means that the vehicles are NOT at the same scale at all. ALSO: This toy does look a different from the thing you might, at first glance, mistake this as a clone of, and second, get it before someone decides it is TOO close to that other thing.Very nice rendition of Optimus Prime from the Bumblebee movie. Very tricky to transform and you will likely need to reference a YouTube video for help.Robot mode looks good, truck mode is a little lacking in the back, but for the price it's not too bad!Great quality just takes a whileTo getI have ordered several of these now. They are a great bargain. You can't beat them for the price.Very difficult to understand instructions. Far too challenging for a child! The toy looks cool and my 7 yo loved it! But it’s VERY complicate, directions aren’t clear, and it breaks very easily. One of the arms also doesn’t latch and just dangles in the wind when Optimus is not in truck form. Changing him from truck to Optimus for and vice versus is comparable to open heart surgery!Kids like it.
