I love this product so sturdy and my cat is extremely rough with it. Very durable lasted my cat for about 2019 -2022i have two cats--one 3 month old kitten and an almost one year old. they have loved playing on this--especially the little one--she uses it to get to the top of one of our scratching posts and the window. perfect for us.Cat likes itMy cat loves her kitty condo! I have bought her other cat trees and things she could lie on in the past, and they went unused because she’s particular about where she hangs out, I guess. I mean, who knows what goes through a cat’s mind? LOL!The moment I sat this out, I sprayed a little catnip inside it, and she came around to sniff/check it out...and started poking the little poms that are in the “paw” from the outside, and then poked her head in to see where they were coming from...and before I knew it, she was climbing inside! She loves to use it to crawl inside and nap, or to hide with one eye out, waiting on our small dog to walk by so she can pounce on him! She also loves that she can use the side to scratch her nails, and I like that the material doesn’t shred and come off easily like the cat trees that have rope wrapped around them. This is a great value for the price, and my cat loves it!! I highly recommend it!!EDIT: It's been a couple weeks and they lost interest in it, until it got turned on it's side, (opening facing up, scratching matt out to the side) They seem to find it more comfortable or interesting that way. Catnip sprinkled inside is that much better now too. Again, they are 6-7 mo old so other cats may find this too small no matter what. The unit: I find the build to be acceptable. Happy there, seems decently made. Shipping was fast. If I was being picky I would say the scratching part could be more substantial, but if it wears out I plan to attempt cutting it out and switch it out with a replacement. I can see how big guy cats would be cramped or not fit. It seems like it will be large enough for our cats. The cats: 4 foster cats, 6months of age. Each cat likes to go inside or on top and play with each other on and around it. It's an interaction center for them, more so than a hiding spot/ bed like an older cat may appreciate. They use it less than any of their other cat areas of the house. To see if they will use it more, I'm going to integrate it into another cat play unit. I got this on a great sale and do not regret the purchase at that price. Would I buy it again for the $32 that it is posted for now? Not sure. Will post a photo when I figure out how.First of all, disclaimer, I got this piece for $13.00! What a deal, sorry folks it was Black Friday. To start off, I was surprised that this is actually well crafted, heavy wood. The fur material over the wood is soft and high quality, the scratching pad is decent enough but could be a bit more deep for clawing. We'll see how it holds up after my 7 pound demon gets through with it! She seems to have taken a liking to it already, and has been poking the balls in and out of each cutout for the past hour. With that said, it does lose 1 star for me because the full price value just isn't there. It would need to be about 20% bigger for me to pay $40. Of course, you pay a premium for nice looking stuff, and this is a great looking piece! If you care about how your house looks, this will be on the lower price range of nice looking cat furniture. Personally, I gave up having a nice house to my cat. It wasn't worth the battle. There are cardboard scratchers, cat tunnels and stuffed mice everywhere... help me.Anyway, If you can get it on discount at all, grab it. Just be wary of size! I wouldn't suggest this for any cat over 10 lbs. Even if you pay full price, I doubt you'll be disappointed. And if you have kittens, they'll probably go nuts for it!I like the size & construction of the cat condo. The only thing I- or actually the cats- don't like is that the opening is small. I have another similar condo with a much bigger hole & they all prefer it. I use them both for feeding the cats so that they can have a little privacy while they eat. The one cat who will use this condo justs sticks her head in & eats that way. They do like the scratch pad on top. I don't know; I may end up donating it to a shelter. If I had gotten it last year when the kittens were still small I think it would have been a hit.I have 2 cats. One is a normal weight black domestic. The other is an obese old girl and nothing I do gets any weight off her. Believe me, I've tried for 5 years. Thankfully, other than her weight, nothing is wrong with her. I mention this because if you have a normal weight cat, it will fit in the hole. Otherwise, don't expect even a maine coon to get more than it's head in there. My old lady uses it as a ramp to get to her second cubby and enjoys the scratching post. The other cat took a little bit but sleeps soundly in the bed. I did add a small blanket to entice her more because it has that new tree scent.Well, I bought this to help settle in an adoptive cat we have taken in. She's about a year, and this cat bed is certainly roomy enough for her. Unlike a couple of other reviews I've seen on here, I did receive the product in the picture. It has brown fake fur all over it (even the base)and inside it too. The white 'toes' on the paw image are three cat toys, fluffy and on a bouncy bit of elastic each. The scratching pad ontop seems durable enough, and the way it slopes does seem to encourage our cat to use it.I say be aware because when I was initially inspecting the bed, I ran my fingers along any edges and found the fake fur covering wasn't very well joined on the bottom of the bed entrance. It shouldn't affect a cat's use of it, but if you are worried about your cat getting caught or suchlike I thought I would warn you. Might be more of an issue for very young kittens, though. The toys in the bed are actually fairly difficult to play with as they sit within their respective holes, not out of them. I have found myself many times on my knees, poking a toy to try and get the cat to play with it. Only a few times has she actually bothered to bat them, usually because there's a far more interesting bit of string about! She hasn't bothered to sleep in it but then, I would be surprised if any cat would. Cats prefer high up, comfortable places where they can see the environment - having said that, I have been pleased with the product and the scratching pad has been getting more use than the sofa, which is excellent! The product I received was a different model to the product advertised. It has no tail, no whiskers, three additional holes with balls pending on them, and not mouse ears/eyes. It is also a different colour (brown), and has a slightly different shape. Obviously I do not know whether my kittens would have enjoyed one more than the other, but I am disappointed not to have received what I thought I had ordered. The seller was very friendly and explained 'someone' keeps changing the image (?) to the old version of this toy which is a discontinued line, but I don't quite understand why they have not added a note in the product description somewhere informing about it.They did offer a collection, refund, and dispatched very quickly, so I have no complaints about the seller on this respect. The materials and build seem to be the same, but new version of this scratching 'cave' is not half as nice as the older one. I couldn't have returned it and risk my sofas being scratched for a few days whilst I tried to find a new one, and that's why I kept it, but I can't help being disappointed with the product. This is a nice item, it looks good and my cats love it, they like to hid and then jump around your legs as soon as you walk by lol The quality of it is great, this can be a scratching post and a bed all in one plus nice design so fits in my living rooms well.Quite expensive if you as me but my cats are worth it so that is all that matters, they said it would take 1 additional day to be delivered this ended up being 2 days, I contact Amazon who were helpful and gave me something as this was late.Overall great product if you love cats then you cat will be happy if you buy them one.all our cats got something out of this one Even the rather big one who has difficulty getting in the hole loves the balls. One of our male cats in particular is obsessed with pulling out the little balls then going inside and pulling them back in again. Our two females love the scratching panel which they use from both the floor and the top of the mouse. It's probably the best buy we've made for them all year. This was a big hit with my kitty as a hidey-hole and place to sleep. He also enjoyed batting at the balls that are hung in the three holes making up the paw print - that is until one fell off. Not the most robust product and my kitty was completely uninterested in it as a scratch post (I don't think he likes scratching sisal) but it's compact and looks ok in the lounge plus has definitely become puss's favourite sleeping place.
