I did a lot of comparison shopping for this type of magnetic plastic block. (Kids love them!). If you don't want/need the larger blocks (at 1.2" or 1.5"), then this is an excellent set to consider, given the price, the number of colors included (10 colors!), and the number of blocks included (40).I appreciate this vendor offering a package with a good number of 1-inch blocks (40 blocks!) with stacking coupons that have let me purchase this item four separate times, at basically $10 each. No other vendor of this type of block has come close to this price point, I've observed, after monitoring competitors' sales for the past 4 months. The primary colors are vibrant and true, like basic Crayola colors. It has 10 different colors (four of each) which is more colors than many sets contain.40 may seem like a lot of blocks, but I think two of these sets really expand the possibilities for play, especially if more than one child is playing with them. If you keep them in their original boxes (my kids like to line them up in the box in rainbow order), they take up almost no space. Two boxes stacked are about 4" x 2" x 10". A single box would be easy to tuck into your travel gear for kids entertainment on the go.I unveiled these blocks to a group of four kids between 3 and 7 years old. One of the older kids, on their own, found the little booklet and started to make objects from the designs in the booklet.I presume if you have kids 3 years old or younger, you will want to supervise their play, given these have small magnets inside. I don't think they'll break easily, but if they were thrown hard or stepped on, they might crack and release magnets which are dangerous for children to put in their mouths.
