I hate having to write reviews for an item that's sold as a toy but is not, technically, a toy. Out of the half-dozen NB4C Neca items I bought in my last order, I think this one is my favorite. The resin has a good weight, it has a pleasing amount of detail, and when Jack's head is trembling - with that maniacally evil grin - he looks especially satisfyingly sinister. However, it should be noted that the version I received was a little different from the one pictured here. The one pictured shows many of his teeth blacked out, as if they were missing, but mine has not lost any prize fights; all his teeth are intact, though they are painted as if stained, which suits the piece well. (I prefer the toothier version I received over the one pictured.) Also, the one I received has one hand resting on top of the gravestone instead of both hands wrapped around the front. A minor detail that has no significance. The rest of the NB4C pieces I received with my order were quickly spirited away to my collection but this particular piece pleased me enough that it was taken out of its box and now currently sits on my desk, grinning at me... even if he does look a little out of place next to my Alien statues. (My office is decorated for horror/Halloween all year long. Our customers have come to accept that particular quirk of mine.) I would not recommend this as a toy (as reflected in the stars I gave it in those categories) but, as a piece for an NB4C collector, I definitely would recommend it.
