If you have a large dog with a strong bite the screaming part will not last long after you heard the plastic box inside the monkey go crunch. However, the dogs don’t love them any less and they are far less annoying when they are not screaming. Great/hilarious entertainment when they are screaming though. We only let our dogs play with them when we are using them as slingshots because they would rip them open and eat the plastic parts if not supervised.Made great gifts for the nieces and nephews for ChristmasBought these for our Grandkids and they had fun. Fun for active puppy if you don't mind the screehingThese are great. I actually bought them for my dog. I bought the monkey by itself a few years ago and it became his all time favorite toy. He loved the sound it made and he loves the way it flies across the house. Crazy is an understatement in the way he responds. When it came time to replace the monkey, I decided to buy this farm pack of variety animals. They were an instant hit, but I gotta say, the monkey is still his number 1 favorite. Also, the rooster broke immediately. I only pulled it back the first time and the head snapped right off. It actually became my favorite one because it never quite crowed right either. We had to shake him around to get him 'right'...then sometimes he still sounded like he was muffled or being strangled. The sound kind of fit his headless form. It made me laugh. Anyway, the fact that he didn't have a head didn't bother my dog at all, but if you were buying 6 of these for 6 kids, it may not be such an okay thing if one breaks right off the bat. Also note, that they're not sewn incredibly well so if using them as a dog toy you have to supervise your dog with them. Certain parts (like tails and arms) may come off easily. I've had to reinforce a couple of these on my own, but once I did, they have held up well.It's absolutely true they are not very durable. But my dogs love them even with limited 'squawking', 'squeeking', 'quacking', etc. lifetime. For the price they can't be beatI have a Jack Russel that goes absolutely insane when I shoot the monkey across the room. He will break the noise box after a day, but that isnt a complaint against the quality.Quality: I give it 3 stars on quality. The hands come off of every 3dr or 4th monkey after 4 or 5 shots. I've had to tie a few of them back on. A slingshot should not break the main function after a few uses. The flight distance is decent and the noise is loud.Exactly what I was looking for, simple and fun, everyone can use them.. ..we're having a Wizard of Oz theme and this will be great!Bought these for a family Christmas party and they were a big hit, with a family of 15 people shooting them all over the living room. Good laughs.
