I switched out this base for the black cast iron base for a pretty, vintage look. It was more complicated to order this way, but the seller was quick to respond to my emails, and the item arrived in 3 days.The stand fits very securely into the body, and although the top piece does not screw or snap on, it fits perfectly onto the neck. The body is a lightweight styrofoam material, but not the type of styrofoam that dents super easily. The color of the cover is not bright white, but a creamy off white. It works great for my need for personal/home display.
