I use this to lubricate rubber hoses for ease of assembly. It also works well in a pool for moments that require extra wetness. Does not wear off in salt water, but easily washes off with simple soap and water. This stuff is the best.Works better than the "water based" type.I love this lube. I have very sensitive skin in the most sensitive of areas and after using the usual standby, KY, I experienced a lot of discomfort. I read the label for KY to see what might be causing my irritation and I saw proplyne glycol on their ingredients list. I've had issues with Proplyne Glycol before in deodorants and makeup, so I knew I that was the culprit. I quickly got rid of KY and used organic, water based lubricants. For anyone has ever used water based products, you know how much you have to use and how often you have to reapply. I confided in a friend and he recommended Swiss Navy to me. He said it was super smooth, you only need a small amount and the bottle lasts forever. Best of all, it has so few ingredients in it! I bought a large bottle to try, thinking he was exaggerating his claim of needing so little. But once I tried it, I was so happy to find that he was right on all accounts! It's been over a year and I still haven't made a dent in it. I've maybe used 1/16th of the bottle and trust me, I use it frequently ;3 I can't say how much I love this lubrication. It's great for solo play, with a partner, I've even used it for massage. The only miniscule downside of using this product and I mean it's so completely minor, is that it can take two or more washes in the shower to completely remove it. I just use Dr. Bronner's pure castile soap and that seems to be the most effective in removing it completely. It just means I'll have to wash an area twice but the benefits vastly outweigh a small inconvenience like that. You can also purchase a special soap to help remove silicon based lubricants if you wish, I just haven't used them so I can't speak to their effectiveness. I will be a lifetime user of this product, I love it and I accept no less than Swiss Navy. Try it once, you'll be amazed to how downright luxurious this product is :)I have to say I was disappointed with this product. I have used this exact product many times before from another seller but this Swiss Navy Premium Silicone Lubricant did and does not perform like a silicone lubricant. It becomes sticky and resistant much more like a water based lubricant. Ive tried a lot of other brands and i keep coming back to this. Had the big pump bottle once. Really hard to keep from making your nightstand a slippery mess. There is always one last drop that slips out when you take your hand away. I buy the 8 oz bottles now. Makes for lovely, love making..hehehe...Hot tub sex with this stuff is an experience you will never forget. It does stain sheets, but washes out. If you use it a lot, can be tough to wash off of yourself. Take a bottle of white distilled vinegar in the shower with you and it will work like a charm.I also use it for lots of everyday uses where two surfaces need to slide effortlessly. I built a resin shed outside. The center roof seam just wouldn't slide together. A little bit of swiss navy and after being out in the weather for 5 years that seam is still slick and easy to move. I've used it for sliding vinyl doors and the pistons in my fountain pens. Places where you want something slick that wont get all gummed up.Its cost prohibitive to us as an everyday household lubricant. There are many cheaper options out there. But, for those unique situations where a little bit of something special is required, this stuff invariably saves the day.This is the best silicone lube ive ever found. Its number 1 for pleasure and good for other applications as well. A tiny bit of this high quality silicone, goes a long, long way.I've never tried a silicone-based lubricant before, but I had heard good things, and I have to say I am very happy with this lubricant. The texture is like a very light oil; it has low viscosity, and it's not sticky at all (unlike a vegetable oil). It has no detectable scent or taste. Since it's silicone-based, it does not dry out at all. In fact, if two layers retain a very thin layer of the lubricant, they will still easily slide past each other. There are two downsides to silicone; one, it is difficult to clean up, unlike a water-based lubricant. You want to use as little as possible (a little goes a very long way) and have a cloth handy for wiping your hands. Two, silicone-based lubricants should not be used with silicone-based toys; my understanding is that the lubricant can permeate the toy and lead to degradation.The bottle design is very smart; I will copy my description from my review for the Swiss Navy water-based lube (also recommend):The bottle came as-is; no additional box apart from the one it shipped in. The top was secured with a small piece of shrink-wrap plastic. The bottle has no cap; instead, the lid, which serves as the dispenser, twists from left to right. This allows the lubricant to be dispensed by pressing down on the top, which I think is a nice, contained design. The amount it dispenses it quite small and consistently measured, so I typically go for two or three presses. I think it will take me a very long time to go through this bottle.This lube is too thick and it stains everything. I might be willing to overlook those things if it at least had some longevity. But unfortunately, it does not.
