Ok, I bought this when it marked down but then the price decreased again! So I returned the one and kept the other at the lower price. Overall this is a cute card reader. It works consistently, has a variety of cards, and is loud and clear. Some of the cards are weird. Fruits and vegetables not typically found in the US. Some of the words are more British English than American. I still think its a fun device to expand your childs vocabulary. I wish though that the cards were bigger and thicker. Older kids can fit the cards in fine but smaller ones will end up damaging the cards trying to do it. I have my daughter who is 2 hand me the card and then I do it but it would be more fun and useful if she could do it herself.Bought it for my 2.5 yr old autistic grand daughter who is non verbal and hard of hearing. She immediately showed interest and hasn't stopped playing with this. The sound is loud and clear for her. She is having trouble putting the cards in so I have to help getting it started and she pushes down. She's actually looking at each of the pictures so this is progress. Highly recommend this for non speakers. I actually just bought another one at this cheap price incase anything happens to this one.Very fun educational toy for kids my sons daycare loves this flash card set! There are a variety of categories and even new words for her to learn. I love that it can read the word to her, and that she repeats it before swapping to the next card.
