We were suddenly taking care of our 8 month old nephew and since it's been years since I had a baby around the house, we got this cute set of toys. Little guy liked putting the puzzle pieces in his mouth and the triangle one was just narrow enough that it would make him gag or something, so we set aside that toy for a later age. The soft stacking cups have a different little cut out in each size which was cute. But again, he could barely pull them apart, let alone stack them. He wasn't as interested in those as I had hoped. The silicone balls were probably his favorite things in the set, followed by the rainbow ball thing and the rain maker as close seconds. He also liked the ball in the box thing, but the red wooden ball was just small enough for him to try to (unsuccessfully) put in his mouth, so that's just a toy he gets to watch his older cousins do and be fascinated by. He didn't quite get the point of the tissue box and pulling the clothes out of it yet, but he would squish it. He also enjoyed the spinning picture thing as something hard to bang on the floor. As he gets older, these can be used more for their educational purposes, but for now, he's playing with these things in an age appropriate way. We liked the variety of colors and types of toys. Seems like a great little kit of starter toys for your 6m-2y. I wish it was less expensive, but it probably is still a good value for the money when you consider that each little toy probably costs $4-$8 individually in a store.
