This was one of those figures that took me a while to pick up, but that, once I did, I was glad I did. A big reason for the delay was in the inconsistency of the images I saw in various reviews. Some photos made the figure look dead-on life-like ... while others gave the face a toy-like "zombie look". And, even when I got it, I could see that stark contrast. It wasn't until I was reading a recent review of the HT Maleficent that the reason became clear as the review addresses the difference between "accurate" and "life-like". It raises an important question of "how much of the on-screen character is really conveyed by the 1/6 figure itself?" I found the HT Mandarin to be a perfect example of a figure that is incredibly "accurate" but is only equally "life-like" under specific circumstances. Standing in a static pose, without the sunglasses, the figure just doesn't look right. No personality. But, lounging on his throne, brandishing a machine gun, while wearing glasses ... and the figure completely transforms into a life-like representation of the character. It then looks cool.I feel this Selina Kyle figure has a similar quality. With the mask on and the goggles on top of her head, she looks dead-on. But, without the head gear, the facial expression looks off and zombie like. The presence of the mask (and likely the shadows associated with it) seem to give her eyes more depth than when it's only the regular skin-tone and make-up surrounding her eyes. The HT Black Widow (WS ver.) and this figure aim for the same type of "look" (attractive female in tight black body suit). Height-wise, Selina is a good 3/4" taller than the Widow ... making Selina very close in height to her male counterparts. While Selina has the stiletto heels, Widow also has platform boots so Selina's heels only account for 1/4" of the height difference. A big reason why I like the 1/6 scale now is the different in figure sizes and heights. Makes for a more interesting display when the figures aren't all the same height.Accessories-wise, Selina is definitely light compared to Widow. Obviously, her costume design is more basic. But, aside from a fancier display base, she comes with fewer hands and just one gun. Standing side-by-side, I think Widow just has more interest (but, again, to be fair, a big part of that is the costume design itself probably more than the figures). I just think that, as a jewel thief, I think HT could have provided a bit more (like Bruce's mother's necklace!). The thing I find odd is that Selina has a white undergarment, which means that, despite the presence of a functional front zipper, it only looks right with the zipper all the way to the neck. Widow doesn't have the same thing. I know that the undergarments like that are meant to protect the underlying body from being dyed by the costume ... but, as Selina and Widow would have the same problem, I find it an odd choice that Selina has it but Widow doesn't. It feels like Selina is stuck having to have the zipper up as if she were wearing a tie ... while Widow can appear more relaxed. If you really like this design for Catwoman, I highly recommend this figure. If you're more of a fan of the actress herself and looking for a life-like likeness of Anne, then I think the figure falls short because I don't think the maskless look is the best for this figure. It's like taking a picture of a complex texture where, if you don't use a flash and allow the camera to pick up all of the shadows at play, the picture will look very interesting ... but, if a flash is used instead to cancel out all of the shadows, the picture looks flat and boring. To look realistic, this figure's face needs shadows to be present to give it real depth. Otherwise it will look flat. But,if you're just after the general "look", my recommendation would be on the Widow. The Winter Soldier version finally resolved many of the issues the first two releases had. Widow comes with more, is easier to find (i.e., cheaper overall). When it comes to Hot Toys, you are going to get a movie accurate look, but like anything else it sometimes has its faults. Hottoys is a company based out of Hong Kong and mass produces these Sixth Scales but is the top leading company when it comes to accuracy. They did an good job with Selina's Kyles face and Hair, love that they used actual hair like product rather than plastic. However, her face looks like you're looking at a madam Tussaud's wax model, you know, the lifeless look. Being its poseable, it allows your figure to come to life giving it much more accuracy. I have mine sitting on my Sixth scale Bat pod, the problem with that is she is not able to actually sit on the bike and grasp the handle bars, so I've had to pose her sitting and aiming a gun. Still looks good but would have liked it to look more accurate on the Bat pod.Like any other Hot toys figure, it comes with numerous interchangeable hands and accessories, however this one only had one hand gun. But your limitations are what you imagine her to be doing when you set her up. The base is the crouch support, which im not a big fan of, i think if they would of given her a waist support then her options of action poses would have been numerous. I've opted to display her with the mask down, cause personally I think it makes her more life like and gives her eyes more depth and character. Don't get me wrong I do like the figure and happy to have her in my collection, so much of my review sounded like Cons, but believe me the biggest Pro is having this piece in my collection.More than what i had expected about this figurine, Selina Kyle comes in a shoe box size package with the poster of Selina Kyle aka: Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) standing in the rain. The fabric used on the figure is very much similar to the costume cloth in the movie, very much details are drawn to the gloves, mask and googles and long boots with steel-high heels, Hot Toys have't drawn a good attention to the facial sculpture, it's not easy as well to attach her to the Batpod, it can be such a hassle to get her seated on the pod.Other than that it is a great 1/6 Hot Toys Collectible if your a big fan of The Dark Knight Trilogy.I paid the full retail price when this action figure came out in August 2013 because I was fooled by the pictures. The details of the face are much more realistic in the photos that you see on the Hot Toys web site. The real figure is not that good. The joint of the left ankle is pretty loose. I am not sure if this is just the figure I got or all of them are like that. I would have returned it but it was the last one back then and taking into consideration the shipping I paid for it and the currency conversion rate that I would be losing, it was not worth it.Note that the motorcycle is not included. In my opinion, this Selina Kyle action figure is worth at most 159$. I would not recommend it unless there is a substantial discount.Mine said near mint condition, yet some of the leather is literally missing from the front of the boot, and the other foot is really loose, making it hard for my figure to stand, thanks a lot for the “near mint” fig?Beautifully made. As with most Hot Toys female figures. Nicely sculpted face with impeccable paint application, removable mask, real rooted hair for added realism none of that molded glob restricting articulation. Micro stitching on the outfit. Every attention to detail. Its a pose-able sculpture. There are a lot of other 1/6 scale companies but none are hot toys quality.Figure is in good shape but looks like it was already opened. This toy is great It looks exactly like ana Hathaway!she really pretty, the toys body too! Best character in the dark knight rises movie! Comes with guns and hands and mask/Googles! Only flaw google /mask can break easily, made out of plastic,Should have been made out of metal!Ps. I will this collectible for double in the future!Exquisite quality figure (Barbie this ain't!) as you would expect from HotToys, could do with being a bit cheaper though (comment aimed at HotToys, not seller).Le doy las 5, pero me tiene decepcionado que el cabello de las figuras de hot toys es casi nulo.
