They hold up well. I have a Shih Tzu and the star is his favorite toy. The squeakers tend to go out but he still loves to play tug-of-war with it, sleep with it, and just carry it around. They are well worth the money. It’s lasted almost a year - through his puppy stage. He is now 18 months. I’ve only had to replace it because it went behind an appliance while playing! My 8 month old puppy had a cute little starfish squeaky toy just like these in a starter pack of puppy toys someone gifted us when we first brought her home. It was by far her favorite thing to play with! So when she ultimately chewed it beyond recognition, I wanted to find a replacement toy and thought these would be perfect. One by one she excitedly played with each of the plushes included in this set, and one by one she absolutely destroyed them, ripping out the squeaker and all of the stuffing, within minutes. I had to quickly take them away so they would not pose a choking hazard. I would say they are great for smaller puppies and/or less aggressive chewers, but not for older pups like mine.It wasn’t a huge deal to me that they weren’t the same colors but my dog LOVED them super cute I just got completely different colors but if you don’t mindMy dogs loved these so much they thought they would destroy them within 2 weeks. The squeakers died quickly and then they lost their pizazz. These were very cute and fun, but they did not last very long.Love these. My puppies love them too!Our small dog had stopped playing with toys because her sore gums bothered her - that was until we presented her with these small and very soft toys. She has a newfound happiness for playing with toys and loudly insists and demands that we give her a toy multiple times a day. These small toys fit her mouth perfectly and they are so soft that she can carry them around without being bothered by sore gums. They are also soft enough for her to use the 'squeak' inside. The toys are not particularly durable if we allow her to 'shred' them (she can shred them in minutes!) but we have a household 'dog safety policy' of not leaving any non-durable toys out that can be shredded, so the dogs are only allowed to play with non-durable toys when monitored and supervised - and it gives us a chance to interact with the dogs in a fun way that's equally enjoyable for us and the dogs.Whenever the toys are too dirty, they go straight in the washer on 30-40C whether they're supposed to or not to keep them somewhat hygienic, and I've found they can last up to approx. 10-12 washes. We leave them to dry on the airer, never in the dryer as that would melt the squeak and possibly other parts of the toys.Normally we wash all toys in the washer before giving them to the dogs, just to make sure there isn't any nasty residue left in them from dyes etc. or lose fibres that'll bother the dogs throats.Happy playing with your dogs :)We have had them for 10 minutes and two of them have already lost their squeak. Another Two of them arrived already falling apart. They are also quite small so suitable for small breed puppies only but generally I wouldn’t recommendI have 3 little dogs and they go mad when i bring these out! They are perfect for their play time and they love it for hide and seek too! These definitely work better with little dogs as anything bigger than a jack russel would probably swallow them lol! great buy!I bought these purely to test the quality and give my staffy something new to destroy. And while they are absolutely perfect for that. I feel as though they're rather expensive given the size of them and purely sewn areas.
