I was given a copy of the original book many years ago, and used it with my own children. It did the job, despite several embarrassed little faces! I recently bought this updated copy for my friend’s children. I think it continues to explain simply and perfectly ‘growing up’ with simplistic pictures. A small chapter at a time is sufficient for young minds. I was surprised by a few reviews—that the book is too much for 10 year olds. The children are getting this information in class, in Junior schools at that age anyway, and it is better for the parents or carers to give their own children the facts of life in a one to one situation, rather than receive misinformation in the playground! Would certainly recommend.
