I loved this book. It pleasantly surprised me. I thought it was compelling with solid storytelling (with an irreverant, cheeky, provactive, & hilarious narrator/author), honest, and fun. If you are easily offended, it might not be your jam, but the writing and stories were so good, I could overlook the "not-so PC" passages as other reviews have mentioned. I also had fun researching the celebrities, personalities, and events he described. I randomly met Brandon when he did my hair a few weeks ago in LA. I'm so glad I met him! I had pretty poor color and a very, very bad haircut that I had just gotten in Singapore. He fixed everything and I can't wait to see him again. I love reading books and LOTS of biographies. This book reminded me of Bobbie Brown (the music video model gal from the 90s) who wrote "Dirty, Little Rocker Boys." A wild, fast-paced ride through these worlds. I am looking forward to Brandon's sequel! I burned thorugh this during one long, flight back to Asia. Guilty pleasure heaven.
