This gag works great, fits great, and the breathable holes are actually pretty nice as well as fun to mess around with, allowing easier mouth breathing when your jaw is locked open. Say what you will about leather vs silicone/rubber but the rubber straps on this actually allow you to handle the buckle a lot easier especially if you're like me and have a larger head/neck. This is because the rubber is stretchy but firm, which allows you to pull it stretched in your hands, put the pin through one of the holes, and then release as opposed to perfectly hoping things line up for you.The straps also have bumps on the outside of them and not in the inside, so you aren't indenting or hurting your face, and can easily tell where the front of the gag is and the back is to put it on. I would say this gag is about perfect for my jaw opening, but it may be a bit too big for a beginner because for me I have to slide it behind my teeth and it's a almost tight fit, and that can cause things like lockjaw, dislocation, put unwanted pressure on the incisor teeth, and result in soreness after use. FYI the buckle does not have a locking loop on it for locks, so if locked gags are your thing, you're gonna have to find some alternative gag or method.
