As someone who invests a lot of time in my friendships with women, Jacqueline Mroz's book provided a feast of ideas that allowed me to reflect on my own friendships, with their inevitable ups and downs, as we navigate the complex emotions and expectations we place on our friends. The book is entertaining, easy to read, and covers a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from famous female friendships, the origin of friendship, multicultural concepts of friends, neuroscience and friendship break-ups, to name just a few. As I turned the pages, I frequently connected with the many poignant stories--both personal ones Mroz shared from her own life or through interviews conducted during her research. I highly recommend to all women who value their female friends. Perfect for a book club.
